Shri Pabitra Margherita, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, is on an official visit to the Republic of Vanuatu and Tuvalu from April 22 to 25, 2026, aimed at strengthening India’s engagement with Pacific Island nations.

The centre reflects the growing partnership between India and Vanuatu.

On April 24, Shri Pabitra Margherita arrived in Funafuti, the capital of Tuvalu, for a two-day visit. During his stay, he met several high-ranking dignitaries, including His Excellency Reverend Sir Tofiga Vaevalu Falani, Governor-General of Tuvalu; Honourable Mr. Paulson Panapa, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Labour, and Trade; and Honourable Dr. Maina Vakafua Talia, Minister for Home, Climate Change, and Environment.
