The visit will feature major infrastructure, aviation, energy, metro, and semiconductor initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s industrial growth, regional connectivity, and technology ecosystem.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will undertake a one-day visit to Rajasthan and Gujarat on July 4, where he is scheduled to inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stone for development projects collectively valued at approximately ₹1.06 lakh crore, reinforcing the government’s focus on infrastructure expansion, industrial development, clean energy, and advanced manufacturing.
The visit will begin in Jodhpur, where the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport and launch the Modified UDAN Scheme, a renewed regional connectivity initiative backed by an allocation of ₹28,840 crore over the next decade. The programme aims to expand India’s aviation network through the development of additional airports, helipads, and operational support for regional services while encouraging the use of indigenous aircraft.
Later in Balotra, the Prime Minister will dedicate India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra. Developed through a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and the Government of Rajasthan with an investment exceeding ₹79,450 crore, the facility is expected to strengthen India’s energy security, expand domestic petrochemical production, and stimulate downstream industrial development in the region.
The programme will also include the foundation stone laying for the second phase of the Jaipur Metro Rail Project, alongside the inauguration of railway doubling projects, national highway upgrades, renewable energy projects, and major power transmission infrastructure designed to support Rajasthan’s growing renewable energy capacity. Appointment letters will also be distributed to around 54,000 newly recruited personnel across multiple departments of the Rajasthan Government.
In the final leg of the visit, Prime Minister Modi will travel to Sanand in Gujarat to inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facility, one of the first projects approved under the India Semiconductor Mission. Developed with an investment of more than ₹7,500 crore, the facility is expected to produce up to five billion semiconductor chips annually once fully operational, supporting sectors including automotive, telecommunications, industrial electronics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things. The project marks a significant step in India’s efforts to strengthen its semiconductor manufacturing capabilities and position itself as a trusted global technology and electronics production hub.
