
Senior officials from India and Azerbaijan meet in Baku to review bilateral ties and discuss regional and global issues.
The 6th round of India–Azerbaijan Foreign Office Consultations was held in Baku. The meeting was co-chaired by Sibi George, Secretary (West) of India, and Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
During the visit, Sibi George also called on Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. They reviewed the current status of bilateral relations and exchanged views on regional and global matters of common interest.
The consultations focused on strengthening cooperation in several areas, including trade, technology, tourism, pharmaceuticals, culture, and people-to-people relations. Both sides also discussed the importance of cooperation in combating cross-border terrorism.
In addition, Sibi George met Hikmet Hajiyev, Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan, to further enhance diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
The meeting reflects continued efforts by India and Azerbaijan to deepen their partnership and expand cooperation across multiple sectors.
