In a landmark move to empower India’s startup ecosystem, Startup India, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CarDekho Group. The collaboration aims to accelerate the growth of DPIIT-recognised startups by providing mentorship, market access, technology support, and funding opportunities across mobility, fintech, insurtech, and emerging technology sectors.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Sumeet Jarangal, Director, DPIIT, and Mr. Amit Jain, Co-founder & CEO, CarDekho Group, in the presence of senior officials from both organisations.
Under this partnership, DPIIT and CarDekho will:
- Provide startups with strategic mentorship, co-investment opportunities, and domain-specific guidance.
- Enable startups to access CarDekho’s platforms—CarDekho, InsuranceDekho, rupyy, BikeDekho, ZigWheels, PowerDrift, Revv, CollegeDekho, Crack-ED and others—enhancing customer reach and collaboration.
- Launch innovation challenges under the Bharat Startup Grand Challenge in areas such as electric mobility, auto-tech, finance, and sustainability.
- Undertake skill development initiatives to build entrepreneurial and technical capabilities among startup founders and teams.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, said:

This partnership with CarDekho will create opportunities for collaboration, capacity building, and market access across the country.”
