Shri Rajnath Singh interacts with the Indian community in Rabat; praises their contribution and shares India’s progress story
Rabat, Morocco, September 21, 2025 — Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh met with members of the Indian diaspora in Rabat during his official visit to Morocco. The Indian community warmly welcomed him and expressed appreciation for the decisive action of the Armed Forces during Operation Sindoor.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Rajnath Singh stressed that India’s Armed Forces had been given full freedom to act after the cowardly attack on innocent Indians in Pahalgam. He underlined that India’s response was strong yet measured, saying that actions were taken not out of anger, but with responsibility and restraint. Quoting from the Ramcharitmanas, he remarked, “Humne dharm dekh kar nahi, karm dekh kar maara hai”, emphasizing India’s principled approach.

In his interaction, the Raksha Mantri also highlighted India’s achievements over the last decade under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He pointed out that India has risen from the 11th largest economy to the 4th largest in the world and is soon expected to enter the top three. He spoke about India’s digital transformation, rapid progress in the knowledge economy, and the surge of startups — from 18 unicorns a decade ago to 118 today.
On defence growth, Shri Rajnath Singh noted that India’s defence production has crossed Rs 1.5 lakh crore, with exports of over Rs 23,000 crore to more than 100 countries.
