
Senior officials review strategic partnership and discuss regional and global cooperation during talks on March 30, 2026.
India and Russia held Foreign Office Consultations in New Delhi on March 30, 2026, further strengthening their long-standing strategic partnership.
The consultations were co-chaired by Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary of India, and Andrey Rudenko, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia.
During the discussions, both sides reviewed the entire spectrum of bilateral relations under the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership. They also exchanged views on key regional and global issues of mutual interest, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation on international platforms.
The officials assessed the progress made in implementing decisions taken during the 23rd Annual Summit held in New Delhi in December 2025. Both countries expressed satisfaction with ongoing cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening ties.
During his visit, Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko also met S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, to discuss ways to enhance bilateral engagement.
The consultations follow the previous round held in Moscow in March 2025, reflecting the regular high-level dialogue between the two countries.
The meeting highlights the strong and steady partnership between India and Russia, with both nations continuing to work closely across diplomatic, economic, and strategic areas.
