
External Affairs Minister addressed the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting hosted by South Africa on the sidelines of UNGA80.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar spoke at the G20 Foreign Ministers’ Meeting held in New York on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80). The session was hosted by South Africa.
In his remarks, Dr. Jaishankar underlined that the G20 holds a special responsibility during a politically and economically volatile period. He emphasized that the group must work to strengthen global stability and steer the world in a more positive direction.
Outlining the way forward, the minister stressed three key points: the importance of dialogue and diplomacy, the need to firmly combat terrorism, and the recognition of stronger energy and economic security.
The intervention reinforced India’s position on promoting cooperation, stability, and resilience through multilateral forums like the G20.
